Everything's a blurr

Our missionary experiences are almost none this week.  We have been so busy taking care of the missionaries.  We love missionaries!  Time is whizzing by so fast this week has been a blurr.  We had the Barlow's with us and abused them by putting them in the back seat with a bed and boards and fans and you name it.  They were good sports and we had a lot of fun with them.  They are here for 1 year and seem to love their new apartment and new assignments.  After riding around with us they got their own car and bearings and began their own work.  We were going to work with the missionaries today but made up our mind if we didn't find the chapel in one hour we would deliver a fan and go home.  That is what happened.  We could not see the Parong Chapel where they were meeting.  We will have them show it to us on Tuesday when it is their District Meeting.  Driving isn't too bad on Sundays, but bad enough.  I drove for the first time home.  I ran my first red light.  Dad is on his 15th.  We have not had an accident yet but have passed 4 and saw a motorcycle crash the fender off of a taxi, swerve and not even slow down, he just kept on going.  I think he thought he would be in trouble, but the taxi did a u turn right in front of the motorbike.

We visited Chris' house he is building.  It is a fence with boards leaned up against the wire.  It is on a little peninsula going in to Manilla Bay.  He has stuff there, but does not sleep there.  We sang primary songs with his three kids while he and Dad cut out some boards for the sisters' beds.   Dad gave him his tape measure.  His was an old one barely together., but he builds nice desks and beds for the missionaries.

Well that is all this week.  So glad Kandyce was alright after her fall, and Alexis got her braces off.  Valerie got her braces on. Autumn got hers also.  Guess the kids can blame their braces on me, but I'm glad they can get fixed. We love you all so much.

We passed this on the way to pick up the Barlows.  It is called a Caribau.  He was moving down the freeway and turned right in front of the Barlows' new home.
We were out shopping and in this little baby store was a baby sound asleep.  I asked to take his picture.  Mom said OK.

I wanted to take a picture of JB eating ice cream and he put it right on his cheek for a smile.
Elder Sheffer is eating the Coyote (not sure of spelling) but it is a wheat flour tortilla that Shazi makes from Pakistan.  Yum!  Notice the bib she put on Elder to keep his shirt clean.  We can't go there anymore because they live under support of Catholics.  They want their own home.  We want them to have their own home too.  Anyone willing to sponsor a refugee family?
Just outside our apartment.  I'm sorry I put these on twice!
