Our Family Talent Fund

The Chris Luna family live on their little lot with boards and a tarp for their home.  You can see it in the background.

We came up with an idea of how to sponsor this family in earning their home.

In turn he will build a home for someone else who qualifies for this grant.

This is Russell, Shell and Jessie with their Dad, Chris Lana and Elder Sheffer.

Our family began by reading the Parable of the Talents.  We gave each child or adult $5.00

In turn they were asked to use this as a talent and see if they could double it.

Using talents they have, they did just that and helped this family get a home with walls, a roof,  and

a bathroom.  Apparently we have a lot of talents in our little family.

This is the home that we built with our Talent Fund:

The Foundation:

This is the front door.  There isn't really a back door
This is the home in progress.  The bathroom is connected to the main room;  it has a separate door,  There is one window that has a board you can pull down and lock.  It smells like new paint and a new house.  It is so exciting.

These are the talents that everyone sent in that they did.  Add Heidi made bracelets and sold them.  Alisa and Casey sold bubble wrap that was garbage.  And Kami did a spook alley for Riley's friends.  Also Ryan and Bridget are good at their job earning money. The total we earned was $717.25 about P31,906.50.  It meant that they could add the bathroom and a stronger roof with a slant.

Finished House: well almost. There is one window that has a board you can pull down and lock.  It smells like new paint and a new house.  It is so exciting.
