Recap of 2019

Recap the year 2019

January – Ashlyn was baptized! Dean taught at Job corp for Lowell Mark who had knee surgery.

February – On our way to Wala Wala to Madilyn's baby blessing it was treacherous snow so we turned around in Snowville, called Alisa and they were in Tremonton trying to work on their new 4 Plex Apartments. Dean ended up helping them build new steps and I tended Myla so that Alisa could help too. We came home to a foot of snow in Panguitch and I quilted a quilt.  Crystal quilted this one.

March – Karri came home from her mission Chicago IL and DeMoine, Iowa. Her mission split half way through so she had two missions. Crystal came to visit for spring break. Valerie had her Jr. Prom where she sang a song with friends.

April – Alisa and Myla came for their spring break. Cody and Lisa were going to have a baby but lost it. Katie was baptized! The family was still hurting too over their loss. We tended Grandpa Bert and took him to Darren's in laws 50th wedding party.

May – We flew to Madrid Spain then to Milan, Italy. In Italy we saw Venice from afar and boarded a cruise ship to Greece and Croatia, Trogir, Kator Montenegro, Kataeolon Greece, Olympia and Athens. In Italy we saw Mattera, toured Venice, Leaning Tower of Pisa, Florence museum where the Statue of David is by Michelangelo. Rome we saw Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Cathedral, the Coloseum, and the highlight of the tour was Rome LDS Temple They took 5 busloads of people through endowments, baptisms, sealings and initiatory and the visitors center is fabulous with the glass mural that speaks to your heart. It is behind the statues of all of the original apostles.  (See Italy Tour Post)

June – Tayci was baptized it started our Sheila and Jordan giving an amazing reunion in Mesquite Rising Star Ranch. We swam, bowled, played 4 square, golfed, ate, played chess. It was a huge success. The quilt walk was great. Krisi Pyles from our mission and a friend came. I got to take a class and Crystal. The Tooele girls came AND Sheila and Jordan moved to Panguitch. Sheila's job transferred with Home Health and Jordan got Security Job at Hospital. They moved to Panguitch house with us and began looking for a home to buy. They bought Bruce and Bonnie Dalton's home and it is fantastic for them. Dean spent most of this month building horse shoe pits for the park. It was all volunteer and they wouldn't have them if it was not for Dean.

The Winner and Loser at Golf -- Raychel makes an announcement.

July – Alisa and Casey came and at ranch Alisa fell from a huge horse hitting her head. Giving her a concusion we think. They found Dixie who had a hurt foot too. I got Mike to look at it and it was infection, not broken. The way it was bent I feared the worst. We did three rounds of Pennicilin and it just didn't get it, even moving to her other feet. Finally I got Lance Miller to trim her and he told us what to do – give her 70 pills 17 morning and 17 at night. A Sulfa drug. Mike helped me get her to town and we began the regimin and she did get better. Lance put shoes on her and we got to take her back to the ranch after the whole summer of sickness. Sheila's horse Prada was sick too with a wound she got from tomato cages in her trailer. What a summer. But luckily the hurts were in the corral and not the home. Parker is doing great and it was a great summer with Sheila and Jordan and family helping at every Lion's breakfast we had. Alisa made it home and got better.

August – We decided to get the Riverton house ready to rent. We found the perfect renters, an older couple. We worked hard and got it completely ready. Then they called us and said they couldn't come up with the money. So it sits empty. The fair was really fun, Kandyce won $100. Dean won the Dutch Oven Cookoff and won $300. He made Mushroom surprise and sticky buns. No wonder.

September – We flew to Washington to care for Kami's kids while her and Levi went to Hawaii. It was an adventure.  Kami and Levi moved from Wala Wala to Pasco; they started a Group Home Business.

Thanks Autumn and Dillon for braving the cold Quilt Walk and helping out.  Hot Chocolate was a hit.

October – Sheila and Jordan got to move into their new home. We worked on putting our Panguitch house back together and got Sheila and Jordan completely moved from Riverton.

November – We got the Riverton house cleaned up a lot and Dean was determined to sell it. I am a no, but can not refuse him. Nothing I could say would stop him from getting the paper work, getting the Real Estate Agent and draggingly I signed. 5 days later it was sold for asking price. + $5000 =$475.000. Spent a weekend with Grandpa. Thanksgiving was going to be epic. It's been such beautiful weather., but that weekend snow came in. Cody backed out and Crystal turned around. Kami and Alisa came early missing it. Ryan and Trisa made it over. Everyone got home safely. We gave the kids money for Christmas, and are worried what to do with money now. It was nearly $31,000 to just sell the house. Oh well.

December – We were Mr. and Mrs. Santa at Winter Family Night Out and Ruby's in Employee Christmas party. It was great fun. We watched Sheila's kids while they went to Disney Land for their anniversary for a week. We spent a weekend with Grandpa and Raychel and Cody and Lisa and Alisa and Casey. We went to Lisa's Christmas concert and bought 400 ice cream sandwiches. We had Christmas Eve with Trisa and Sheila's family. We are alone this Christmas morning. Crystal will come for her birthday and New Years Eve.  The sandwiches are for Panguitch New Years Celebration -- 90 Years chartered Lions Club.
