Cody Dean Sheffer, the 4th child and second son, was born January 16, 1981 in Panguitch. He was born happy. We blessed him in the same ward house we are attending sacrament metting in now. His first smile was given to me during his first bath and he continued smiling. Early on I would get comments like: "You have the happiest baby in the world." A year later he was so "full of it" people would ask: "Do you give this boy Weaties for breakfast?" He was blonde and busy. His hair was curly in the back. I just couldn't cut those little curls in the back. When I was gone Gaile cut them into a cute little boy cut and he never did grow curls back there again. In elementary school, he was a hard worker. He was a multi tasker and in 6th grade came home with more participation certifcates than anyone. This continued in HS, making his life a broad base for further education, with sports, running and music. He went on a mission to Hiroshima Japan. He was an influence for good there as his mission President would tell us that he would give Cody the more challenging companions because he was a patient get along with kind of guy.
He married Lisa Marie Fiefield on June 14, 2005. She has been the rock of his life and fulfillment of joy for his dreams. They have 2 beautiful children, Lee age 2 and Annalisa age 2 months. Cody graduated in Biology from USU and works as a Financial Advisor for Prudential in Logan. Lisa is a talented gracious lady and lovely mother as she works hard with all the household stuff. She also is a great cook and makes up recipes from scratch a lot. When Cody brought her to meet us she sang O Holy Night for us and played the piano, she really sings and plays well. My boys definately married above themselves.
Cody is currently serving as Elders Quorum President and Lisa was just released as RS Counselor. They love living in Logan and are a very active part of their ward.
